Basic Gut Protocol Levels 1 & 2
January 27, 2019
Dear Friends, Patients, and Physicians,
As we have become more aware that gut dysfunction & toxemia is the beginning of all disease, I have been more aggressive in addressing ANY gastric symptom until the patient achieves full resolution. In this journey, I am so pleased to be able to share our Basic Gut Protocol, which has been used in thousands of patients at SaJune’s Institute for Restorative and Regenerative Medicine to successfully restore the gut to its optimal state and resolve GERD, IBS, bloating, dysbiosis, constipation and a host of additional digestive conditions.
This past year, we have had the fortune to add a living food with 960 billion CFUs and activated living cultures, Kashaya Probiotic yogurt. A live non-dairy, therapeutic, probiotic yogurt, Kashaya has been particularly effective in those patients with stubborn gastric conditions which resisted treatment.
I share my experience below:
Bowel inflammation, often leading to leaky gut, may be understood as the causal mechanism to all chronic gastric conditions. Overtime coexisting infection (dysbiosis, parasitism, etc.) becomes part of the picture. Although, there are currently several decent tests to define the nature of the gut imbalances and infections (i.e. Genova Diagnostics GI Effects), I find it equally effective to first use the Basic Gut Protocol, without testing, due to its simplicity.
Basic Gut Protocol Level 1
- Avoid all Bovine Dairy Products (Use Organic Coconut, Almond, Rice, Oat, and Hemp Milk)
-
MD Prescriptives PureBiotic - 1 capsule three times a day ORKashaya Probiotic yogurt 1-2 tablespoon twice daily.
-
MD Prescriptives ProBiozyme - 1 capsule with meals three times a day.
Basic Gut Protocol Level 2
(for those unresponsive to above or low in glutamine by Spectracell)
-
Add Premier Research Labs Glutamine 2-4 capsules with each meal (increase slowly to avoid loose stools)
-
Add Premier Research Labs Aloe 2 ounces AM and PM
-
If symptoms continue, determine infection and antibiotic remedies with stool testing or muscle testing of mouth and gut. My first choice is to treat empirically with Argentyn-23 - 1 tablespoon 4 times a day mixed into 1 tablespoon of PRLabs Aloe taken well before meals and at bedtime to avoid proximity to probiotic administration.
